2026 Programme

Unwind 2026 presents three days packed full of great content, fabulous trade stalls and the large social spaces. Learn, connect, plan, discuss, craft, and relax in an environment tailored to fibrecraft loving folk.

Access to most content is included with your base registration. We have a few special intensive classes focusing on practical skills that can be purchased in addition to your entry to the event, these are marked with ★ and their additional cost.

Friday 6th March

9:00am – 4:30pm: Trading, social time and Swap Shop.

1:30 – 4:30pm: DIY Shoelaces – An Introduction to Tablet Weaving with Stella Lange ★

1:30 – 2:30pm: Strange Fascination: fashion & textile treasures in the Hocken Collection with Amanda Mills

3:00 – 4:30pm: Yarn Unravelled: a different kind of string theory with Jessica Barder

Saturday 7th March

9:00am – 4:30pm: Trading and social time.

9:00am – noon: Learn to Spindle Spin with Frances Stachl ★

9:30am – noon: Knit to Fit You with Morag Mckenzie

1:30 – 2:30pm: But is it Soft?? with Amy White

1:30 – 4:30pm: Harakeke Weaving with Amber Bridgman ★

3:00 – 4:00pm: The Tanna Hill Mystery: an accidental true crime discovery with Morag McKenzie

Sunday 8th March

+$45 materials are not provided but you don’t need anything unusual or costly.

9:00 – 10:30am: The First Granny Square: an origin story with an NZ connection with Ruth Walden

11:00am- noon: Scrappy Peaks: a recipe for zero-waste knitting with Jo Guthrie
